This work allowed me to experiment with a conceptual and experimental idea, while exploring what I learned in my studies. I spent a lot of time on the concept behind the visual presentation. Ultimately, this animation has many unfinished aspects, particularly with animation and texture mapping. The main focus was on mood and concept, accomplished through lighting, camera and the models themselves.

I chose an idealized particularly healthy looking scientist as my main character, contrasted with a mechanized version of himself as a highly contrasted reflection . While the scientist was working on his robot, a mishap occurs and the scientist is attacked and nearly murdered by it. The robot traps him on his own surgical table and retaliates by operating on the scientist in a brutal horrific manner, ultimately causing the scientist to become a lifeless automaton.
